It's... ALIVE!
Yes, I'm still here. Yes, I'm alive. Yes, I've been super-crazy-superfragilisticexpialidocious busy. Yes, when I'm not so busy I will post again. Until then, enjoy this little clip I found on youtube.

For Your Saturday Morning Viewing Pleasure....
Horses are incredible athletes, as clearly shown by this amazing video. It is from 2009, but one of my Facebook friends had it posted on their wall and I just had to share it with all of you here. I myself am not a big jumper. Never have been, never will be. To be perfectly honest the highest I have ever jumped was 3'9" on a connemara x TB cross named Merlin (you may have seen his free lunging video from an earlier blog post) and that was through a grid. I still almost peed my pants. So I will stick to dressage and the occasional jump with Poppy, thank you very much, and leaving the 6'10" jumping to the professionals/crazies (whatever way you want to look at it!).
So how high have you jumped?

Get Inspired
I like youtube. I really like watching riding videos on youtube, both the bad because I can be all "ahahaha, I am SO better than you!" and the really good so I can mumble under my breath "yeah, yeah, so you can jump a four foot fence blindfolded... well Darwin jumped a x-rail yesterday, so take THAT!"
About two weeks ago I stumbled across THIS youtube video and fell in love. I've watched it at least half a dozen times, and because it has inspired me to get off my butt and go out and ride when I would have otherwise found something else to do, I'm going to share it with you. Make sure your volume is turned on.
