In general I "let my horse" go during the winter because it is hard to maintain a consistent training schedule when the arena is muck- riding sessions turn into controlling the energy as opposed to improvement. Suggestions for either condition despite the much, OR, things to do with your horse when it is too wet to ride more than (on average) 2 days a week.
